A new study challenges the claim that pornography undermines a man”s ability to achieve sexual satisfaction with a real-life partner.

In contrast, the finding, published in the journal Personal Relationships, provides evidence that pornography can improve the quality of one”s sex life. This is because it promotes a range of sexual activities.

More recently, frequent viewing of pornography was thought to interfere with a healthy sex life. This point of view emerged from a meta-analysis of data for the period 1973-2014 (data from more than 50, 000 participants were analyzed) — the results speak for themselves: men are satisfied with the quality of their sex life, which cannot be said about intensively consumed pornography.

But what is the connection here? Is this because they are losing interest in their real-life partners and fantasizing about porn actresses? Or are they watching porn because their sex life is boring?

So does the desire to have porn-like sex reduce their ability to achieve sexual satisfaction? No, that”s not true. The answer is based on the results of two new scientific studies involving a total of more than 600 heterosexual men.

The results show that frequent masturbation causes a decrease in sexual desire for a partner. And sometimes watching pornography contributes to frequent self-gratification. However, it is unclear whether pornography is the cause or whether people who are more likely to masturbate simply prefer pornographic films.
