For example, foreigners have often heard young Russian women talking about what kind of “women” they are and what kind they are not. Or that Russian women have successful marriages and a desire to be good lovers and faithful companions to men. It was strange for Europeans to hear this from people so accustomed to modern life. After all, these women could organize their own independent travel, settle in another country and provide leisure time. They were comprehensively educated, wise and had seen almost the whole world. And they have such archaic views.
Foreigners also do not ignore the appearance of Russians. They are convinced that they are unjustifiably annoyed about this. For example, some Americans are simply amazed that Russian women, with their frightening fanaticism, worry about the combination of makeup, eyebrows, eyelashes and colors in suits.
Of course, there are plenty of such women in other countries, where their compatriots rightly expect them to be proud, narcissistic, selfish and cold in communication. Only here Russian women pleasantly surprise them. They manually maintain their appearance, but at the same time maintain kindness, sincerity, warmth and openness in conversation.
Some Europeans are convinced that such concern for their appearance reveals a hidden “I” in them and a desire to leave a good impression of themselves. And this does not allow Russians to relax, constantly keeping them in suspense. This, of course, results in impulsive communication.

However, there is another aspect to this quality. Foreign men are convinced that Russian girls do not have the same prudence and rationality as their compatriots. What surprises foreigners is the ability of Russians to act as intermediaries for strangers on the street. They are even willing to help strangers. Moreover, they consider it their duty. Russians will lift heavy suitcases onto the top shelf and help carry strollers with children over a fence or other obstacle. This feature of theirs often leads to the fact that their noble impulses can be misunderstood. Therefore, Russians abroad are more reserved and try not to look for problems.
However, they do not always succeed. Many foreigners note the Russians” penchant for confrontation, conflicts, scandals and even fights. Such qualities of Russians as the inability to accept refusal, especially of women, are perceived negatively. This often led to awkward and uncomfortable situations.
