From curiosity to a sense of duty — 237 reasons for a woman to make love

What motivates women to have sex? Physical attraction to a partner, love, loneliness, desire, boredom and pain during menstruation are just some of the 237 reasons why a girl might agree to have sex. Psychologists Cindy Loka and David Bass from the University of Texas began to clarify this issue. Based on the results of their research, they came to the conclusion that an entire book could be written about this.

One hundred and six women from the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Israel, and China participated in the study. Eighty percent of them were in a relationship at the time of the study, and 93% identified as heterosexual. Participants identified a wide range of reasons for having sex. out of a sense of duty, curiosity or a simple desire to enjoy having a migraine (according to modern research, sex increases pain levels by 75%). Some women simply want to please their partners, others seek to increase their own importance.
