Why do men earn more than women?

The modern world pleases us with progress and innovation, humanity strives for self-improvement and the development of everything around. New professions are emerging, old ones are being modernized, and people are persistently moving towards financial independence. New opportunities and prospects open up for every person in all areas of life. But if society is progressive and largely equal, why do men still earn more than women?

Discrimination is like a wall between a person and big money
The first aspect affecting the level of economic status of men and women is open or indirect discrimination against the latter. Yes, representatives of the weaker sex, in almost all professional fields, continue to prove that they can prove themselves no worse, and in some places even better, but, unfortunately, historically established doctrines in the minds of people — in the main family of the “breadwinner” — men understand that they cannot be fully resolved. They are rarely allowed into politics, rarely into business, it is difficult for them to get into, for example, Aeroflot.
Since ancient times, men have been strong protectors of their families by hunting, while women have been the keepers of the hearth, cleaning, cooking and entertaining. Over the centuries, women have been “devalued” and, unfortunately, women have been excluded from the family economy.
Over the centuries, this trend has continued, accompanied by the misconception that girls are a priori “stupid creatures.” Therefore, it is not surprising that even today it is not possible to fully recognize the fact that the level of intelligence and various abilities do not depend on a person’s gender. The belief that men are smarter than women has long been ingrained in society (and the latter also strives for this), but scientists have repeatedly proven that this is not so.
Therefore, the average employer prefers resumes marked with the letter “m” when considering two candidates who are completely identical in terms of skills and differ only in the presence of a check mark in the “m” or “g” box.
This is argued by the fact that “M” men are generally less emotional, more diligent, and patient, with zero chance of saying “I”m going on maternity leave.” Therefore, their pockets are fatter. This is because, no matter what anyone says, the horizon of opportunities is broader. The same applies to physical performance. Most women don”t submit resumes for heavy physical work, even in well-paying jobs like construction, simply because women”s bodies are not naturally suited to extreme physical exertion.

In our time, a clean-shaven man was considered a symbol of elegance. However, as with fashion, time moves on. In most cases, it”s a goat”s time.

In this regard, salary statistics are clearly not in their favor, as the number of job openings suitable for women is significantly decreasing.

Representatives of the fairer sex also place high demands on them. As a result of a survey conducted in Moscow, it was found that for working or non-working girls and women, the minimum amount that the selected person should receive per month should be 200, 000 rubles. Otherwise, respondents called the young man “not promising” and did not consider him as a potential spouse, citing the fact that he could not live on other money.

Currently, it is considered the norm and standard that representatives of the stronger sex receive many times more than their chosen one. In the opposite case, couples get to know other people by profile, which sometimes leads to misunderstandings in the family. Of course, many people do not agree with this type of discrimination. It is worth noting that the gap in financial levels is decreasing with each passing year, and more and more partners are changing roles.
