Her name is Sol Hersdtir, she lives in Rygg, where she has been dressing up as a Viking queen for 10 years. Solt says she was a “weird and creative” girl who was fascinated by Scandinavian history from an early age.
I started dressing like this when I was 18 years old. When I first put on the clothes, I felt like it was me. Ultimately, it is through external images that we show our authentic selves,” says Salt.
She creates a royal look with specially selected clothes and jewelry. Another hobby of hers is psychology.
Her house is full of antiques and is decorated with ancient Nosandavian motifs and symbols — she even has an ancient sword and armor. She makes many of her own dresses and hand hems fabrics sourced from traditional Viking markets. Clothes can take three or more days to complete.
Salt claims that her image even influenced the creator of the popular Vikings series.
Others react positively to the girl. Sol”s family didn”t understand her obsession with Vikings at first, but later understood and supported her when they saw how happy she was.

Heirsdottir is a creative person. The girls also play in a music group with their boyfriend Varg. The men call the group vǫluspá after the first known ancient Nosandinavian poem, which talks about the creation of the world and the coming end.
The lyrics of their songs are dedicated to old Scandinavian fairy tales and are performed on traditional instruments.

When I first saw her, I immediately knew that she was the person I wanted to spend my whole life with. I have never felt such energy from anyone,” Varg says about his girlfriend.
These two dates are extremely rare. This is due to the fact that they often visit sacred places where various rituals were performed in ancient times. They sometimes perform rituals themselves — for example, they worship the sun.
Salt and Varg argue that Norse mythology should not be taken literally, but that it is worth learning more from it.
Many people talk about Vargara as a place where you go after death, but for me Vargara is a state of mind,” says Varg.
When couples are asked about their plans for the future, it becomes clear that men have no intention of changing their lifestyle.
Be honest with yourself. It”s okay to be different. Just grab it, says the Viking queen.
