Are Dairy Products a Real Threat to Men”s Health?

Condoms, oral contraceptives, IUDs, and various surgeries are well-known methods of contraception. However, recent studies have uncovered new, completely unexpected, and commonly available contraceptives, such as milk, cheese, and ice cream. However, these medications affect male fertility, not female fertility. At least, that”s what Harvard researchers claim.

Milk is an Excellent Contraceptive
Instead of putting on a condom, drink a glass of milk! Something might go wrong, but these are minor details! Seriously, scientists from a reputable university claim that men who consume at least three dairy products daily have poorer sperm quality.
Why has science never known about such a detrimental effect of dairy products on male sexual performance? The fact is that previously, scientists focused only on women”s diet and lifestyle. Fortunately, science is now studying the potential of the male reproductive system. At a time when infertility rates worldwide are skyrocketing, scientists are paying special attention to men”s lifestyle and nutrition and their ability to produce high-quality sperm.

Harvard scientists analyzed the lifestyles of 189 men aged 19 to 25. All of these men led a healthy lifestyle and exercised at least an hour and a half per week. They were also asked to complete a special questionnaire in which they indicated the amount of dairy, meat, fruit, and other products they consumed per week. One teaspoon of cream, 28 grams of cheese, one serving of ice cream, or one serving of full-fat milk together equal one serving of dairy products.

Over the years, certain traditions have developed regarding the effects of certain medicinal plants on the body. Ivan tea is a close second.
The researchers then studied the sperm of these men and compared their results. It was found that men who consumed more than three servings of dairy products per day had 25% lower sperm quality than those who did not consume dairy products or consumed them much less frequently.

What is the reason for this effect of dairy products?
Scientists believe this is due to the female hormone estrogen, which is found in milk. An excess of this hormone in the male body can cause suppression of reproductive function. When men eat these foods, “unwanted” hormones enter the body and sperm quality deteriorates.
Harvard researcher Miriam Afeiche says estrogen is not the only component of milk that is harmful to sperm. Pesticides, chlorinated pollutants and heavy metals found in some factory-produced dairy products also reduce male fertility.
But don’t rush to eliminate dairy products from your life. Alan Pacey from the University of Sheffield, who responded to the study, says men should not cut out these foods. Firstly, sperm quality may decrease, but not significantly, and conception will (quite likely) occur. Secondly, dairy products are very beneficial for the body, and completely giving them up is a big loss for the body.
