This idea has been supported by social psychologists for decades. We like the people most whom we consider most similar to us.
However, the story is not as simple as it used to be. Opinions, preferences, considerations within the framework of values in themselves do not promise us happiness in relationships.
In the new work, scientists from the University of Michigan studied 2, 578 couples. These studies have been going on since 1968! Psychologists worked with people who had been married for 20 years. And they managed to find out what the psychological health of couples depended on!
