Is conscientiousness really sexy?

Many psychologists believe our personality consists of five core traits: openness to experience (willingness to try new things), conscientiousness (attention to detail and organization), extroversion (sociability), concern for others, and neuroticism (how well they cope with stress and how emotionally stable they are). Scientists have studied how each of these traits relates to a person”s sexual relationships and behavior.

At first glance, conscientiousness, characterized by planning, organization, and attention to detail, may not seem like a very sexy trait. However, several studies have shown that the more conscientious a person is, the better their sex life. All this attention to detail may explain why conscientious people report more positive experiences. At least, this is what the 4, 000 people who participated in the survey and were rated as conscientious reported.
