One of the most consistent findings from studies of human sexual behavior is that men report a significantly higher number of sexual partners than women.

In theory, the numbers reported by average men and women should be almost the same, right? However, we can clearly see how we often report twice as many partners as the fair sex (on average, seven for women and 14 for men). Why is this happening?

As women age, they want more sex than men.

1. identified 1. 5% of men who showed an incredible number of partners (obviously skewing the average results). Specifically, men in this group reported an average of 110 partners, while women tended to report about seven partners on average. When the data for this group were excluded from the overall statistics, the results for the sample of men and women became significantly lower.

2. As a rule, men and women use different counting strategies. For example, women did not consider casual sex or relationships that they did not enjoy. Men, on the other hand, tend to generalize those cases when sex did not work out, but basic consent was given (for example, when the amount of alcohol affected the erection, but the girl did not object).
