Why do girls become tanma? How do they live in society? We read the revelations of girls who have come a long way to understanding this term and finding their own.

Who is this?

Surely you have already heard about this term and seen girls who are classified as tomboys. And the following is ingrained in your head: a tomboy is a girl who deliberately cuts her hair and dresses like a man. There is some truth to this. But it”s not just about boyish clothes and short haircuts.

In the 16th century, the term was used to describe rude and rowdy boys. For us it”s like the word “broken”. Today, a tumba is a girl whose external and behavioral characteristics, according to generally accepted standards, are suitable only for men.

“Is it easy?”

It can be done. External and behavioral characteristics refer to:

  • Boys” clothes.
  • Habits, gestures and courageous gait.
  • Aggression
  • Love of cars, sports and computer games.
  • Hostility towards cosmetics, dolls and other “girlfriends” (for example, pink, dresses, skirts);
  • Lack of concern for appearance, sloppiness;
  • Typically, women”s pleasure is complete indifference to motherhood, housekeeping, etc.

The image of a tomboy is boldly emphasized. Others simply choose loose clothing—no tight dresses or high heels.

There is also a misconception that all Tomsk residents are lesbians. This is not true at all.

Why do they become Tomboys?

Are girls born this way or do they become this way for a reason? This question interests many people. Some studies have even proven that girls exposed to male hormones in the womb are more likely to become Tamboys in the future. Where is the truth and where is the lie?

The main factors influencing this are

If a growing girl does not see role models from her mother (or another parent relative), then most likely she will reject femininity in the future.

The girl sees in her the sacrifices made by her mother and obeys her father. This is a strong, sociable, angry father and a bored, quiet, frayed mother. Such contrasts leave a certain imprint on the psyche of a little girl. The girl sees her father, identifies with him and wants to be like him.

Femininity is not perceived as “cool”. The most energetic and active girls in the world want to commit suicide and turn into maids who only obey their spouses. And they deliberately reject the stereotypical female role.

  • Safety.

It is not safe to be a woman in our society. Millions of girls experience physical or sexual abuse at an early age. Fear and disgust for the opposite sex grows in them. Oddly enough, they begin to dress and act like criminals. Girls reject femininity and feel vulnerable.

Nowadays, many girls complain that guys have become like girls. Of course, you can blame the young women themselves for the fact that they already look like men, but that’s it.

They believe that

Already in childhood, girls understand that men have many privileges that women do not have. For example, when she hears friends and acquaintances of her parents complain that they dream of a son. Or her brothers and sisters receive more attention, care and affection, more expectations are placed on them, but the parents do not seem to notice this. I couldn’t accept the weakness, passivity and helplessness inherent in “femininity,” says one of the girls.

From a very young age, girls see boys freed from housework and childcare. They are taught to strive for wealth and greatness rather than housework and childcare.

Let”s take Canada, Israel and Australia as examples. Girls in these countries lead an active lifestyle. They are energetic, active and enterprising.

Now let”s look at Saudi Arabia. Girls” appearance and behavior must conform to strict moral standards. If a girl does anything even “unfeminine,” she is immediately labeled. Besides, the label “tomboy” is as harmless as possible.

And in general, this is just one of the stages in a girl’s life. She is energetic, brave, curious and wants to take everything from life, simply because she was born that way. And society is already in a hurry to label her: tomboy, tomboy girl, tomboy girl, etc.

True story: “Boys were the personification of freedom for me”

From the age of nine to twenty, everyone around me called me a tomboy. I was myself and didn”t think about labels. The tomboyish traits began to emerge when she was about five years old. I don”t remember how it started or why. Although I still have a feeling about this. I think I can guess what changed my worldview as a child and influenced my self-determination.

When I was a child, my father traveled for several years. He returned with gifts for me and my sister. Most of the toys and things were boyish. Boots, pants, T-shirts, Sega, PS1. My sister was four years old and didn”t really like consoles, she wanted dolls and coloring books.

I was happy with the console and played it constantly. Then male friends and relatives came to our house. Suddenly I couldn”t access the console. I was told not to bother men who played games not intended for girls.

Here I am nine years old. Mom forbade me and my sister to play football with the boys in the garden. No, there were girls in the garden, but their mother also forbade them to play “rough” games. The girls were allowed out into the streets, with the possible exception of performing some minor duties.

The boys ran around the garden, played football, rode bicycles or just fooled around, and we sat at home.

We now know that our mother simply wanted to protect her daughter in this way. But how terrible it is when you are so limited in everything!

Primary school has started. Everything is exactly the same here. Boys play football and girls sit in the stands. Girls” love for sports was not particularly encouraged. They feel that they belong only on the playground with swings.

What about teachers? They preferred men in everything — in competitions, competitions and everything else. “How can I surround you with girls?” It was the teachers who threw out phrases like

To me, boys represented freedom. Free creature. The boys would just roll around on the ground, scrape their knees and get dirty. They could just enjoy life. I can”t even imagine how much I wanted the same for myself. The adults didn”t understand me.

Over the years, on a subconscious level, I became more and more of a tomboy. Even the fact that I studied at a girls” boarding school for five years did not stop me. On the contrary, it affected me even more. By the end of school I became a complete tomboy.

It was in my third year of university that I began to gradually move away from this image. And if you ask me if I”m a tomboy, I have three answers: yes, no, and a little bit.

Tomboy (transformation from girl to boy)! LGBT, what do you think?
