Freedom or Solitude? What’s the Beauty of Living Alone

A person can live their life in two ways: for their family or for themselves. Much has been said about living with and for their family. But I want to talk about my own life. Living for yourself means living alone and being completely your own person. GOOD? That’s great! Some will tell you it’s lonely and depressing.

Some will say such a life is boring and meaningless. Others will see thousands of opportunities for self-realization, self-education, building a successful career, living, relaxing, and creating their own world. Living alone is accessible, convenient, and simple. Here are some of the benefits of living alone.

Freedom of Action and Decisions

No Daily Reporting Obligations. When making plans, whether for one day, a year, or just the next weekend, don’t over-promise or adjust your behavior. Listen to others’ opinions and consider theirs (not your own!). Consider their wants and needs, compromise, and play to your emotions to avoid appearing selfish or lazy. Want to spend an evening with a glass of wine and a good movie?

Go ahead. Would you like to unexpectedly meet friends at the cinema, bar, or club? Easy! It all depends on your own mood and desires. No need to explain or ask for time off. You won’t have to sit with friends and constantly check your watch to make sure you have time to relax at a strictly allotted time. Then, explain what happened, why, and how it was postponed.

To Live or Not to Live?

Routine and tedious household chores like taking out the trash, washing dishes, and cleaning the house are perceived as self-care. I want to live a clean and tidy life. Do it yourself, when it’s convenient. Avoid sarcastic remarks or caustic comments like “I don’t see how they vacuum,” “they don’t get into the corners,” or “they spend two hours cleaning in one cup.” If your salary allows (and a bachelor’s degree usually does), call a cleaning service to your home, and the problem will be solved.

There are no other problems with general household presence. There is no “queuing” for the toilet and no time limits for visiting the toilet. The “struggle” to watch a TV program, series or football in the evening is eliminated – as in the case of computers, television is always free. Unsaved computer games remain at the same level, and your favorite cup is in its place.

At the end of a busy day, it’s nice to come home, order pizza and soak in a bubble bath while listening to your favorite music. Then, after an intoxicating experience, lie down on the cold sheets of your own bed in your underwear or negligee.

Family Budget for One Person

This point is indicated by the capital number 1. Own income, independent distribution of the budget, spending and saving for one’s own desires and plans is, of course, a big plus in living alone. Yes, there is only one source of income, but there is also one source of expenses.

Utility bills are adjusted without unnecessary stress, no one pours more water than necessary, and the lights are turned on only when they are hardly needed. You may spontaneously spend more money than usual on things you unexpectedly like. Go back to point 1. There is no need to report or justify yourself. Finding additional sources of income is easier if things don’t distract you from your relationships and home.

Additionally, a bachelor’s degree does not entail debt. They don’t have a car loan because they need to work at school or in the garden to raise their children. They don’t take out mortgages because their families need housing. People who belong only to themselves do not take a rented apartment lightly. Using their budget, they can rent a suitable shelter for a long period of time. At this moment, he spends time and effort to buy himself an apartment (or house) of his dreams. It has nothing to do with urgency. He is clearly moving towards his goal.

Free Time

His free time is truly free time! The choice of activities is large and does not depend on others. How the owner spends his free time depends on whether he sleeps, watches TV, plays sports or drinks beer with friends. Or someone can work for days without a break, without fear that they will not have enough time to be at home.

Sleep

The sleep mode is set independently. A lark or an owl, music or complete darkness, on a bed or sofa, under an open window or blanket, in pajamas or naked, with all four limbs spread out, snoring at the top of your lungs, not afraid to wake up. Freedom and comfort are the key to healthy, sound sleep. In addition, there is no fuss and running around during morning preparations. A calm breakfast in the morning silence – what could be more beautiful!
