Although people”s preferences vary, there are several models in the public opinion that are of interest to all sexually active people. Due to the need to meet social expectations, people often hide what really interests them.

With support from the Middlebury College of Digital Arts, approximately 250, 000 anonymous erotic fantasy texts from the Internet were analyzed. Thanks to their anonymity, there is no doubt about the veracity of the described sexual dreams. They were sorted by topic and then by popularity — comparing the number of views of texts over a certain period of time.
The study identified 20 important topics of interest to the general public. For example, the presence of the word “mother” or “father” in the text completely aroused the desire to read the story — many people are unconsciously not averse to entering into sexual relations with parents or other family members.

People love to fantasize about any topic, imagining an ideal life, the possibility of gaining superpowers, or how to skillfully respond verbally.

Popular fantasies were those containing keywords that seemed to have no erotic meaning — for example, towel, shower, pen. This is due to the fact that they remind people of pleasant moments. For example, a shower helps you relax, and the touch of a towel on your body is soft and soothing. The same applies to different colors. For example, the best sex of a person”s life took place on yellow bed linen. In all his fantasies he now sees attributes of the color yellow.
