Skin care products trigger early puberty
Early puberty is often associated in the media with acceleration. However, at the heart of this trend is a hormonal imbalance. In any case, the premature onset of puberty does not please either children or their parents. But do mothers know that they themselves may unwittingly become involved in this condition of their offspring?

creams, toners, gels and lotions can be neutral, natural and hypoallergenic, but still contain chemicals. The latter include the following substances.
- Phthalates
- Parabens
- Phenols.
It has been found that the listed ingredients enter the body of a pregnant woman through the skin and, if accidentally ingested or inhaled, can cause hormonal imbalances in the fetus while still in the womb, contributing to early puberty.
Research stages
Pregnant women were monitored during pregnancy.
- In 90% of pregnant mothers, the chemicals were detected in urine tests.
- Nine years later, 338 of these mothers’ daughters were invited to be tested and underwent blood and urine tests.
- In girls, precocious puberty was detected on average one month earlier.
On the one hand, chemicals are metabolized quite quickly and excreted in the urine. On the other hand, women constantly use personal hygiene products and compositions for washing, cleaning and laundry. Deodorants and air fresheners are purchased and used.
Early puberty
As a result, after birth, children absorb unwanted substances in varying concentrations. Kim Harley, the study’s author, is concerned by these findings but acknowledges that other toxic substances, such as pesticides found in most foods, were not studied. Therefore, it is impossible to say unequivocally that parabens, phthalates and phenols are responsible for early puberty. Share with friends
