The rhythms of modern life are very intense. People’s attempts to achieve success in their careers, studies, relationships and self-improvement bear fruit. But they also have another side. The balance between work and leisure is changing in the direction of increasing the number of working hours and reducing rest. Soon it will no longer be possible to devote more time to your personal life.

The study was conducted by Finnish scientists. The work itself was based on previous studies of work schedules. The study included two types of work schedules: regular long shifts and flexible work hours of six to eight hours per shift.
The main results are as follows.

The second experiment was carried out by employees of the University of Jyväskylä.

- Sleep less than 47 hours per week.

The results were disappointing. Subjects who experienced sleep deprivation when overtired received the lowest scores.

The researchers’ conclusion is that people should reduce their working hours and get enough rest to maintain health and interest in life.
