Recently, reports emerged that millions of users of this pornographic web monster were hacked by malware, which turned out to be one of the site”s many advertisements. Pornhub claims the malicious program was quickly detected and shut down, but the hack, which exposed visitors” personal information, continued for nearly a year.
Launch of Cutting-Edge Technologies
To compensate for the loss of users and the emotional distress, PornResource announced the launch of a new AI-powered server, which premiered online on October 11, 2017, in New York City. Pornhub”s new AI model finds, identifies, and displays images of porn actors and videos. It scans photos and videos and ranks porn stars by trustworthiness or downloadability, based on what the model has learned using computer vision and in compliance with photo and video content restrictions.

Every year, the popular website PornHub conducts statistical studies in which experts analyze user activity based on the specifics.
In just the first month of beta testing, the model was able to scan 50, 000 videos. However, Pornhub”s AI model is constantly improving, becoming smarter, increasing or decreasing descriptions, and continuing to conduct research based on what it asks users to verify.
“Now users can search for specific porn actors and get more accurate results,” said Corey Price, Vice President of Pornhub.

Next year, the site will scan all five million videos currently on the platform and begin working to find their categories and tags. For example, the AI model will recognize and add videos taken indoors or outdoors to the “Public” or “Interior” category. Artificial intelligence identifies blondes or “porn stars” with different hair colors and automatically adds them to the desired category. In addition, the model can also identify and correctly mark different sexual positions.
Site owners plan to use the AI model in the future to detect SPAM and improve user recommendations and search results.
