The subjects were divided into two groups and asked to make changes to their daily diet. The first group, 343 women, followed the recommendation to eat at least one apple a day with meals. The second group, 388 women, were asked to eliminate apples from their regular diet.
After six months, all participants in the experiment took a test to determine the Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI). A group of 343 women (who ate an apple every day) had a significant performance advantage. This was associated with both an increase in the frequency and intensity of sexual experiences and an improvement in biological sexual function.
